If you are craving for fresh fish and seafood at a reasonable price, Restaurant La Paradeta is your best choice!
The restaurant is located in the Born quarter, next to Ciutadella Park and the old Art Nouveau market.
At first sight, the restaurant looks like a fish market because as soon as you reach the entrance, there is a fresh fish stall showcase and two fishmongers. The establishment is a self-service restaurant.
Take your pick, tell them how you want it cooked and all you have selected will be weighed. Payments will be made at the same time to the fishmongers. You will be given a receipt with your order detailed and a table to wait, until someone from the kitchen window calls out your receipt number to pick up your yummy fresh fish and seafood. Plates do not come at once. You will be called out several times until all the items of your receipt have been crossed out and served.
The place is always packed. So I recommend you to order everything at once because the waiting line is usually pretty long. Do not forget to clear off the table when you leave, remember it is a self-service place. You won’t regret going there. The system is original, the food is tasty, the atmosphere is like being at home and it’s cheaper than a normal seafood restaurant as you serve your own table. What else do you want?
