The Miba museum is the world’s first ideas and inventions gallery. Encompassing the ¨reflectionarium¨, ¨the corner of the absurd¨ and the ¨limitless society room¨, you are sure to find something to tickle your imagination.

Some of the inventions were designed to fix a problem or ease a situation, others simply to make you smile and wonder. At the entrance you can find a gorgeous display of childrens inventions (many of them verging on genius!).

Soothe your tired legs and take a seat in front of the projector screen showing bite size movies and documentaries.

There is also a non-permanent exhibition section which was displaying steam punk articles and vintage cartoons from the Catalan area when I visited this museum.

When I visited the tubular slide which takes you from the first floor to the basement, it was out of order. I felt a childish disappointment!

For me the museum was a bit small for the price, but I still found it an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon even if I did have to use the stairs like a ¨grown up¨.

Becky Robinson
Hola! My name is Becky. I´m yet another Australian expat who fell for the beautiful mistress we like to call Barcelona and stayed far, far longer than once intended. I throw myself into the cities events, bars, clubs, shops etc, with reckless abandon to bring you these reviews. It´s all for you! ...Or is it just an excuse to party and spend lots of money without feeling guilty?... Either way, read up on some of my favorite ways to see this exciting and eclectic city. Happy travels and welcome to BCN!
