The Barcelona Gipsey Klezmer Orchestra is an large musical family of sorts, comprising of wood, wind, percussion, string instruments and singers.

The nationalities of the nomadic musicians are as varied as their instruments which makes for a truly ecclectic yet polished sound. Close your eyes and you could be convinced that you are no longer in a pokey Barcelonan bar, but at an Eastern European wedding ceremony with all the trimmings.

The BKGO serves up a musical mish mash of Balkan, Romanian, Hungarian, Polish and Middle Eastern delights.

Depending on the size of the venue, numbers can be limited so make sure to get their on time or sign up via the list on facebook if applicable.

These guys are busy so check out their website for details on the next gig!

Becky Robinson
Hola! My name is Becky. I´m yet another Australian expat who fell for the beautiful mistress we like to call Barcelona and stayed far, far longer than once intended. I throw myself into the cities events, bars, clubs, shops etc, with reckless abandon to bring you these reviews. It´s all for you! ...Or is it just an excuse to party and spend lots of money without feeling guilty?... Either way, read up on some of my favorite ways to see this exciting and eclectic city. Happy travels and welcome to BCN!
