Casanova is one of the biggest and best photography stores in sunny Barcelona. If you are into photography of any kind, or even cinematography, then come visit it to find the best equipment and stock. You can visit it even if you just print out a couple of your vacation photos so that you can send them to a friend and relative. You’ll get a fair price and decent treatment, the staff are always very helpful and they know their cameras. The best thing I like about this store is definitely the used articles section, which is filled with great old lenses that are quite easy to adapt to your newer DSLR camera models, and are quite cheaper than most lenses in the market today. You can also bring your old equipment and sell it for store credit, allowing you to engage in a kind of old-school barter. You have to love their style. One more thing I like about this wonderful shop, being a cinematographer myself, is that they keep their basement filled with equipment specifically designed for the creation of moving pictures, from lights to cameras, and everything in between. And last but not least, you have to come down and look at the back part of the store, which is almost like a camera museum, displaying antiques of the industry, a wonderful sight to behold.

Hello Everyone! My name is David Picon. I am a cinematographer living in Barcelona. I love this city, it has wonderful sights, beautiful architecture and some great parties, not to mention awesome beaches. I enjoy going out, mostly to jazz and hip-hop clubs, but every once in a while I go in for the electronic venues. Other than that, I am an intense foodie, and a film buff.
