When a friend of mine cheekily comments that ¨it feels like a MOOG night…¨ I know exactly what she means. It means that we are going to be awake until the early hours dancing with huge grins on our faces in the special kind of atmosphere that this bar always seems to bring.

Downstairs is a cozy dance floor, picnic style bench seating and a long bar, perfect for having shooters with newly made friends. The Djs spin a mix of techno, house and electro while EVERYBODY dances.

Upstairs is another, even cozier dance floor for more cheesier pop-inspired beats and the walls are mirrored like the set of a bad porno.

The staff and clientele are usually a mishmash of good looking hipsters, techno heads and those who like the less commercial clubs and they are always good fun. Be warned that it can get pretty sweaty up in there so dress accordingly-there’s nothing worse than sidling up beside a hottie unaware that you are displaying huge sweat patches.

There are often promoters on La Rambla giving out free passes or stamps. Otherwise entry can be up to €15. Although they open the doors at 12 it wont get much of a crowd until around 2am.

Get MOOG-ing 7 nights a week!

Becky Robinson
Hola! My name is Becky. I´m yet another Australian expat who fell for the beautiful mistress we like to call Barcelona and stayed far, far longer than once intended. I throw myself into the cities events, bars, clubs, shops etc, with reckless abandon to bring you these reviews. It´s all for you! ...Or is it just an excuse to party and spend lots of money without feeling guilty?... Either way, read up on some of my favorite ways to see this exciting and eclectic city. Happy travels and welcome to BCN!
