Antic teatre really caught my eye. I only visited it once, during the New Year’s Festivities, but I have to confess that it blew my mind right away. It’s an enormous place with several different rooms, different musical ambiances  and different people. The night I was there, one room was feeding us hard techno  and everyone was bouncing to the beats, people were euphoric. The other room had softer, mellower house music, but still you could see people dancing along. Now, the smoking lounge was unbelievable, it was actually a big center courtyard, which all old Spanish architecture used to receive sun rays  and light the rest of the house during the days. This courtyard was huge, equipped with several trees and small benches, where you could sit with your friends, enjoy a few smokes, share a few stories and then go right back to the mix, to continue the party until the brink of dawn. After that evening, I found out that this place also hosts different artistic events, anything from contemporary dance recitals to film club screenings, and everything in between. You have to be in a constant state of awareness with them, see what they’re up to, and try to catch anything that can interest you.

Hello Everyone! My name is David Picon. I am a cinematographer living in Barcelona. I love this city, it has wonderful sights, beautiful architecture and some great parties, not to mention awesome beaches. I enjoy going out, mostly to jazz and hip-hop clubs, but every once in a while I go in for the electronic venues. Other than that, I am an intense foodie, and a film buff.
